Win A Cello Audition - Orchestral
or College
The Music Institute of Long Island is
excited to announce that the former principal cellist of the Indianapolis
Symphony Orchestra, Dr. Arkady Orlovsky is now on the Music Institute of Long
Island's (MILI) cello faculty. In addition to giving private cello lessons at
MILI, Dr. Orlovsky is offering private coaching lessons on how to be prepared to
take and win an orchestra or college audition. These lessons
are available to the advanced cello student and to the
professional cellist who wants to land a job in a Professional Symphony
Orchestra.
In this class the advanced cello student will take a private lesson and learn
what it takes to succeed at taking an orchestral or college audition. This class
will give the individual an edge as they prepare for orchestra auditions,
college entrance exams, or for careers in today's competitive orchestral
marketplace. The student will learn the cello solo and orchestral repertoire
necessary for these auditions, polish their performance skills and be given a
mock audition. This class will build the students self confidence and mentally
prepare them for their audition. In September 2010 this class will be offered
for 8 or 17 weeks and will be 45 minutes in length.
