Christian Li
Music Production Masterclass
Christian Li, currently a senior at Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington and MILI student since the age of 3 years old, will be teaching an Electronic Music masterclass on Saturday, March 22nd at MILI!
Christian's musical journey began at the age of three when he took his first piano lesson at MILI. Since then, he has performed at various school talent shows, accompanied his high school choir and orchestra, and been a soloist at Carnegie Hall multiple times. He is an 11-time Grand Prix Winner of the Concert Festival International Music Competition, a 2023 NYSSMA All-State Piano winner, and a 2024 NYSSMA All-State Electronic Music winner.
Christian’s passion for music production and technology started in seventh grade when he began teaching himself how to produce original music by watching YouTube tutorials and experimenting in Logic Pro X. What started as a hobby quickly became a full-fledged passion when he began sharing his artistry online. Through hundreds of videos, he has amassed over 150,000 followers and 40 million views across social media, along with more than 200,000 streams on Spotify. He won the YouTube Silver Creator award.
In 2022, Christian founded Harmony2Hope (H2H), a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for underprivileged children through music. By leveraging his music technology skills and the talents of his peers, he produced a virtual charity concert that raised donations and awareness for children in need of music education. Through these efforts—along with funds raised via social media—H2H has donated over $5,000 to global charities such as Save the Children and the Save the Music Foundation.
