Emerging Artists Program

Master Classes

MILI’s master classes provide select students the opportunity to play for and receive instruction from some of the world’s greatest musicians. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to receive an honest critique of their musicianship and performance style, which provides a fresh take on their abilities often only appraised by their private and group teachers. Many students benefit from the framing of an old concept in a new way. All of MILI’s master classes are open to all of our students and their families. We encourage students to attend these as they are a powerful source of inspiration as well as an opportunity to garner advanced advice that they may not normally have access to.

Outside Performance Opportunities

As a well known music institution, the Music Institute of Long Island is often contacted for outside events (charity concerts, parties, weddings, etc) and the possibility of MILI students performing at them. The Music Institute recommends many of its more advanced students for these opportunities. This provides students with real-world performance experience.
